Certified Scrum Master® - with coaching
Become a Certified Scrum Master® through coaching and training in your working environment.
Details
Scrum Masters are not just facilitators of the Scrum meetings! They have a critical role to play in creating high-performing teams. They must deeply understand the principles behind shaping team identity and enabling self-organisation.
This Certified Scrum Master course combines training and context-specific coaching in the participant's working environment. It is approved by the Scrum Alliance and results in a Certified Scrum Master® (CSM®) certification.
Unlike the standard public 2-day training class, this certification-through-coaching delivers more value with double the amount of contact time with a CEC coach, running over several weeks. Real-world scenarios are explored during this time, and participants receive coaching support. This ensures the participants have not only learned the Scrum Master theory but also put into practice real situations specific to their context.
Content and Learning Objectives
The following topics are covered during this CSM® (with coaching) program:
A fundamental understanding of the values, principles and practices of Scrum and how to apply them to your team(s)
The theory behind Lean, Agile and the Scrum Framework
How to act as a Scrum Master for one or more self-organising teams
How to support the collaboration with the Product Owner, the Scrum Development Team and the rest of the organisation
Once the program is completed, the participants will receive a CSM® Certification from the Scrum Alliance, assuming the online written exam from the Scrum Alliance has been passed.
This program is delivered using techniques from Accelerated Learning and Training for the Back of the Room which maximises the retention of the participants. This program is not a lecture format, where a teacher talks and participants listen, it is a fully immersive and interactive learning experience.
Practicalities
The structure is custom designed to fit the participant's unique needs and schedules. However, some typical patterns are as follows;
In-person: 4 x 1-day sessions, spread over several weeks
Online: 7 x 4-hour sessions, spread over several weeks, using Miro and Zoom
Hybrid: a combination of both in-person and online
Class size: max 12 people
Language: English
Public or Private training: private only
The sessions will mix theoretical training and coaching based on real-world scenarios.
Groups of 4-10 people are ideal, but a max of 12 participants is possible.
